We started by introducing one another. Then, each couple shared stories about their experiences. It gave me the feeling of belongingness and freedom, that I was not discriminated and I could be myself,
because I could open up myself which I could not do in my ordinary life. After listening and sharing, everyone went to the party place. It was a good Chinese restaurant serving really delicious foods. With the good foods, everyone talked to each other; sharing anything under the sun. It seemed that everyone was enjoying not only the great foods but the company and friendly environment. It was a nice experience for me, meeting new friends and attending to that kind of party; which gave me more confidence and sense of belongingness. I hope that Place Tokyo will continue doing these kind of activities and more people like me could attend and participate.

お互いの自己紹介をして、それぞれのカップルが自分たちの経験を語り合ったんです。自分の居場所だ、解放されたって感じましたね。自分は差別なんてされてない、ありのままの自分でいれるって思えたんです。だって、いつもは心を開くことなんてできないのに、ここではできたからです。 語り合いの後は、みんなで飲み会に行きました。これがとびきりにうまい中華料理店で、おいしいものを囲んでみんなでいろんなことを語り合いました。食事はもちろんですが、互いの交流や心地いい雰囲気を楽しんでたんじゃないかなって思います。新しい友達ができたり、飲み会に参加したり、すごくいい経験でした。おかげで、自分の自信につながったし、自分の居場所を見つけた感覚でした。ぷれいす東京には、今後も自分みたいな人がもっと参加できる今回のような機会を作り続けてもらえたら幸いです。
